Something of an industry darling, Charles Heidsieck is a
Champagne that has a loyal following within the drinks trade.
Theirs are layered wines that have a serious richness. That comes
from their use of reserve wines. Most Non-Vintage Champagnes use
some reserve wines to help maintain a house style. At Charles
Heidsieck, their standard NV Brut is made with 50% reserve wines.
These add serious depth of flavour to the Champagne and give
Charles Heidsieck its characteristic richness.
On 6 November, we are delighted to be welcoming Simon Stockton from Charles Heidsieck for a deep dive into the range and the effect of bottle format. This is a rare chance to not only taste some brilliant wines but to discover how size can affect the wine's development.
This will be a sit-down masterclass with a welcome drink of the
Charles Heidsieck Rosé Reserve, followed by
standard and magnum bottles of Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve,
Blanc de Blancs and 2012 Millesime.
